Logan Berry Jalapeño Glazed Pork Loin Chops

Tonight was one of those nights that I needed something simple but fulfilling. Our little boy Gavin had his 6 month check up today, and got his vaccine's too. I'm usually the one who takes him to all of his appointments because I have a more flexible work schedule than my husband. Well today wasn't that flexible, as I had a few morning meetings that I couldn't miss. My husband had the day off so he went ahead and took him. Needless to say I was a nervous wreck all day. 
When I got home, little man was cranky and tired, and husband was frustrated and hungry.

As I sat there consoling Gavin and singing him to sleep, I began to think about what I had in my kitchen that I could quickly make for dinner. I knew I had some pork loin chops, a few jars of Logan Berry Jam, jalapeño, red wine, and other staple ingredients that I always have like garlic, some type of vegetable, and I had a few purple and white potatoes left in the little bag I got from Aldi. Then I saw my son's eyes were glazed with tears, and I literally thought "Oh my gosh Logan Berry Glaze pork loin!". Weird how my crazy foodie mind works. Anyway, the end result was actually nothing short of freakin delicious. This was my first time making it, and when my husband got to the dinner table he said "Wow Babe! I didn't realize you were gonna make such a fancy dinner!" He took his first bite and he says "Shit! This is freakin delicious!" Now it could've been that he was really hungry cause he spent most of his day trying to keep Gavin happy. But, none the less, it was definitely not the reaction I was expecting.



  • 2lbs Pork Loin Chops
  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Smoke Paprika
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Logan Berry Jalapeño Glaze (Recipe below)

Logan Berry Jalapeño Glaze

  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1/2 medium onion, small diced
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Jalapeño, small diced
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste
  • 1 Cup Logan Berry Jam (If you don't have any, you can use 1/2 Cup Raspberry Jam &
    1/2 Cup Blackberry Jam
  • 1 Cup Red Wine


Season Pork Loin Chops with paprika, salt & pepper. Set aside while you prepare your glaze.
Heat up a fry pan, add 1 Tablespoon butter. Once it's melted and a little brown, add the onions and jalapeño and cook until onions are translucent. Add the garlic, sauté until fragrant. Deglaze pan with red wine, reduce liquid to half. Once reduced, Add the Logan berry jam. Season with salt & pepper and cook for 10 more minutes to help blend all the flavors together and reduce the liquid. Keep warm while you cook the pork loin chops.

Heat a cast iron pan, add 2 tablespoons butter. Sear 3-4 minutes on each side depending on how thick your chops are. Reduce heat to low and add the glaze. Cook on low for 10minutes or until glaze is nice and thick.

I served this with roasted purple and white potatoes, and asparagus.
